If you play Fantasy Premier League but aren’t an expert in football, it can be really tough to make the right transfers, predict the best fixtures, and know when and how to use your chips.

The problem with a 1–5 rating

There is a built-in difficulty rating for matchups scaling from 1 for easiest to 5 for toughest; that number is attached to a team and left there, but it cannot express that a side is brittle away and stubborn at home, that its form has turned since August, or that this particular attack is the wrong shape to hurt this particular defence.

Why the tool exists

I made Gaffer IQ to try to mitigate this problem. It is a personal tool, not a product. No accounts, no sign-up, no multi-tenancy. Its purpose is to provide a comprehensive insight into what the Premier League looks like further ahead, and to provide as much clear information as could be needed to make the right call in your Fantasy Premier League season.
